Still one of my favorite and versatile locations in central Texas.

production.

In this video, Sarah and April from Terry Garnett’s Propane share some of their experiences as part of the Customer Service Team.

We shot the piece during the workday right near the front door of the office and we had a great time as various folks wandered in and out. Guerilla shooting in the workplace.

Well, this has simply been a wonderful experience. It’s true… years ago I would have thought I was nuts… fast for 22 days, no way!

What drove me to this you might say? Nothing dramatic. Just mild interest. I had been reading about the Master Cleanse and notably the 222 reviews on Amazon.com (mostly very positive). Got me thinking… and curious.

It did help a lot that I had previously flirted with 1-3 day fasts. Several times I noticed the increased energy and focus from fasting. So, after a trip to Whole Foods (where just about every check out person knew immediately what was up and had their own fasting story to share), I gathered up my booty and headed for home.

Day 1 thru 4 were detoxing so I did relax more - caught up on movies and took it easy. But from then on it was working editing and shooting movies at a faster pace than normal.

Suffice to say there is more info on the Master Cleanse on the net that you could read so I won’t go into much detail about it. Just to say it worked fantastically. I had great energy after about the fourth day and actually, the reason I stayed on it over the usual 10 day period is that I felt so great.

Today I’ll go get some organic oranges and start gently reintroducing food. All in all, a great experience and I imagine an ongoing periodic healthy updater for the future.

This is a documentary I had the pleasure to produce for the #1 ready mix supplier in Central Texas, Lauren Concrete.

I really enjoyed all of the phases from beginning to end on this project. The company is family owned and operated and their culture is very positive and a pleasure to be around.

Interestingly, the company was started from the ground up by one man. As the video shows, he really had a lot of foresight and was one of the first ready mix companies to progressively embrace technology.

Over the years the company has expanded. They now operate and control their own vertical supply chain as well as multiple plant locations all up and down the I-35 corridor in the Austin, TX area.

They also own and fly their own helicopter which is what we used for the aerial shots. It was amazing. In the middle of flight we noticed one of the company’s trucks on I-35 traveling North. We acted as fast as we could and got the shot - a pleasant surprise in post.

Yesterday was a beautiful Texas day and a great day to shoot the festivities at Christmas On Mercer Street in Dripping Springs, Texas.

This is an annual event that brings together local food vendors, civic groups, merchants, as well as crafts people to display and sell their goods. With music playing and kids flying thorough the crowd, it was a fun event and family day.

This interview features some of his observations and as mentioned, a few tips for the propane homeowner via a backyard tour.

In addition to his work with propane, Terry Garnett enjoys the Texas Hill Country lifestyle with his family and currently champions the benefits of growing up in the small Texas town of Dripping Springs.

One of my current projects is working with my friends, Terry and Michelle Garnett in the mission of creating a greater sense of community for the folks in the Texas Hill Country.

Pocket and Neighborhood Cats

I suppose I’m the type that could possibly be found sporting a  ”Ask Me About My Dog” bumper sticker.  Since I quit traveling full time in 1980, I have always owned at least one dog.

So… when my Border Collie passed on recently after a happy and long life, well… kinda quiet around here… so it was very much appreciated to have a friend’s dog come visit for a week. And that would be one feisty Yorkshire Terrier named Pocket.

In the pic to the left we see all as it should be - Pocket “reminding” those neighborhood cats to “move along, no cats needed here!” Or perhaps something even more meaningful in animal speak.
